Rule Purpose: To assist in the overall production and dispatch of customer orders and to adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures always. Accountable to: Warehouse Manager

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a fast-moving team to unpack and organise all stock with accuracy.

• Complete all orders to the highest standard

• Unload deliveries and maintain stock accuracy.

• Work with wholesale team and prepare wholesale orders ready for delivery.

• To accurately pick and scan orders using the RF guns.

• To minimise missed sales and losses to the company through accurate picking

• To work efficiently as part of a team

• To keep work area clean and tidy, being responsible for the general maintenance of warehouse floor

• To be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work

• To build and pack out pick location to ensure adequate supply of products in pick location.

• Communicate any stock issues with the Stock Department ensuring they are addressed as quickly as possible.

• Ensure procedures and team targets are achieved

• Report any areas of concern to the Warehouse Manager.

• Continually improve stock operations by recommending measures to improve quality of service and efficiency.

• Maintain a safe working environment that complies with all aspects of the company’s H&S Policy

• To act as an ambassador for S&W Wholesale and behave in a professional and courteous manner at all times

Essential Criteria: 

  • Grade C or above in GCSE Maths and English Hold or have held in the last 3 years a Forklift License for Reach Truck
  • Experience working within Warehouse environment.
  • Experience operating a forklift in a busy warehouse environment
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work individually or as part of a team.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Physical and manual dexterity
  • Able to demonstrate the application of continuous improvement techniques

Role: Accounts Payable Assistant - FTC 6 - 9 Months

Location of Role: Carnbane, Newry

Salary: Competitive

Hours of Work: 25 hours per week over 4 or 5 days

Role Purpose: To accurately check invoices approved for payment against goods received and to be responsible and to support suppliers and departments in dealing with finance issues.

Accountable to: Accounts Payable Lead

Key Relationships: Accounts team and payroll, trading and warehouse tams, external clients and suppliers.

  • Creditor payment reconciliations & processing of payments.
  • Other administration and office duties as required.

Responsibilities

Loading

  • Work with the loading supervisor to load lorry to suit delivery schedule
  • Check load sheet to ensure pallets of goods and cigarettes correspond to customer order.
  • Check all loads are secure and all relevant paperwork is correct before departure.

Deliveries

  • Ensure to count all cigarette orders and customer verifies and signs off
  • Ensure to have all goods checked and signed for by the customer
  • Plan route to ensure deliveries made on time
  • Loading and unloading of full and empty cages

Other Duties

  • Maintain targets and job standards set out by the logistics manager
  • Communicate any issues that may arise with the logistics manager
  • Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of vehicle, e.g. checking oil filters, water levels etc
  • Responsible for the security of vehicle at all times
  • Dealing with customers directly
  • Any reasonable request from the logistics manager
  • Maintain a safe working environment that complies with all aspects of the company's H&S Policy

Essential Criteria

  • Clean HGV Class 2 Licence

Deliveries

  • Maintaining good customer service by greeting customers and answering any queries.

  • Obtaining customers signatures on receipt of deliveries.

  • Maintain high levels of health and safety standards
